Gold has been worshipped by men and women from the very first moment its sun like qualities attracted their gaze and it wasn’t long before gold became widely recognized as the symbol of wealth and power. Cultures separated by great oceans all created images of their gods in gold if they had it and if they didn’t they usually fought battles to possess this most precious metal.
