Gold has been worshipped by men and women from the very first moment its sun like qualities attracted their gaze.

That it didn't take long before being widely recognised as the symbol of wealth and power is no surprise. Different races separated by great oceans all created images of their gods in gold if they had it. And if they didn't, they usually fought long and bloody wars to possess this precious metal.

As with most things, there are a few who are considered the best at doing something. And with gold craftsmanship there is no exception. Each year Ken and Cameron Marks travel to Italy - to Vicenza, Valenza, Verona, Milan and Rome in search of the finest goldsmiths. Of course, many items are crafted in Australia by Percy Marks' own goldsmiths. But we always search out the best crafts person for each particular item.
